Is this the beginning of the end of the modern day broadband connections. Google recently had unveiled their plans on testing an ultra high-speed internet service which apparently is more than 100 times faster than the fastest broadband connection available to the consumers in the US. Google mentioned that, this new ultra fast connection will be available to few but select users across the US on test basis.

After using it for several days, I was about as disappointed as I was after using Nokia E72. I am not trying to tell you that Nexus One is bad. It was the prelaunch hype which set huge expectations – Alias’s like the iPhoneKiller – which it failed to match. Is Nexus One a cool phone? It definitely is a cool phone. Is it an iPhone killer? I don’t think so.

Ever since the Google-China issue, we have been updating our readers about the details and the cause. After talking to technicians in China, we understand that there are two kinds of internet censorship in China. Some websites are completely blocked or the government instructs local search engines to modify the search to fit the constituency of Chinese government.
GOOD FOR Google. The company’s decision to stop censoring its Chinese search engine is more likely to mean the end of its China-based service than a breakdown of Beijing’s political firewall. But more important than the question of whether Google.cn survives is the larger issue that Google has now raised for other Western companies and democratic governments — which is whether China’s gross and growing abuse of the Internet should be quietly tolerated or actively resisted.
