Twitter had quite a time this year. With the year ending and when they opened their books – in Al Pacino’s words from Donnie Brasco, guess who came on top. Twitter. Twitter is the top word in English language for 2009. According to the Global Language Monitor, which examines language usage across the world, “Twitter” beat out “Obama,” “H1N1,” “stimulus,” and “vampire” to take the crown. Interestingly, “2.0″ came in at sixth place.

We’ve heard of marriages being held in outer space, under water, in Las Vegas and also mass marriages. We’ve heard of people marrying their dogs, cats, cows, or even their fish. But getting married to your virtual girl friend takes it one step further than what is usual, don’t you think ?

Google came up with a new interface for their search engine. Although initially it feels like a little too much eye-candy, once you get used to it, it makes you just want to search more and more. I must say, its pretty addictive.

Sony Ericsson’s trump card smart phone has been hit by software issues. This phone was supposed to be a key player in increasing the sales figures this year along with the Satio. Sony Ericssons spolesman said that a number of new Aino Smartphones, part of the companys christmas line-up, had experienced technical issues using the touch screen.
